This Cookie Declaration explains what cookies are, how Junovy uses them across the junovy.com marketing site and the authenticated product subdomains, and how you can manage your preferences.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the site.

Cookies can be:

  • First-party cookies: Set by the website you're visiting (junovy.com)
  • Third-party cookies: Set by external services embedded on the website

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged in to your account on our authenticated product subdomains
  • Preserve your chat session with our support tool (Chatwoot) if you opt in
  • Remember your cookie consent choice

We do not use cookies to:

  • Track you across other websites
  • Sell data to advertisers
  • Build advertising profiles
  • Run analytics of any kind on the junovy.com marketing site

Cookies by Service

junovy.com (Main Marketing Website)

The junovy.com marketing site is a static website. Before you interact with the cookie consent banner, it sets no cookies and no localStorage entries at all. The banner itself writes a single localStorage entry to remember your choice (local storage is within the scope of the ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3) in the same way as cookies):

KeyMechanismPurposeDuration
junovy_cookie_consentlocalStorageStores which cookie categories you allowed (necessary, analytics, marketing, functional). Written only after you click Accept, Decline, or Save Preferences.Persistent until you clear browser storage

If you accept the Functional category, we load Chatwoot (our self-hosted live chat support tool), which sets one additional functional cookie:

CookieDomainPurposeDurationCategory
cw_conversationjunovy.comPreserves your live-chat conversation across page loads so that an agent can reply to you later. Written by Chatwoot.Chatwoot JWT (~1 year)Functional

If you decline functional cookies (either via "Decline All" on the banner or by leaving the Functional category unchecked in "Manage Preferences"), Chatwoot is not loaded at all and cw_conversation is not set. You can still email support directly.

Chatwoot is operated by Junovy itself and self-hosted at ask.junovy.com. No data leaves Junovy infrastructure. See Section "Third-Party Services" below for details.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

On Our Website

When you first visit junovy.com, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the page with three buttons: Decline All, Manage Preferences, and Accept All. Clicking "Manage Preferences" opens a dialog where you can toggle individual categories.

Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key junovy_cookie_consent. To change your choice later, clear your browser storage for junovy.com and reload the page — the banner will reappear.

In Your Browser

You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data
  • Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies and site permissions

Blocking Cookies

If you block all cookies:

  • You won't be able to log in to any Junovy services
  • Some website features may not work correctly
  • Your preferences won't be remembered between visits

We recommend allowing at least necessary cookies for the best experience.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Since we don't currently use tracking or analytics cookies, we honor DNT by default--there's nothing to track.
